After completing Graduate Level courses, supervised internships, and successfully passing the state examinations, a practitioner is allowed a license. The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) specializes in psycho-education about individual as well as family, environmental, and social systems and the way in which each effects the other. The LMFT partners with the client in an effort to understand their particular goals, challenges, strengths, and needs in an effort to accomplish life objectives.
